Sometimes you still have gold lying around at home that you no longer use, but that carries a story with it. For example, a ring from your mother, an heirloom that no longer fits or a piece of jewelry that once belonged to you but is no longer worn.
Remelting gold into new jewelry is a beautiful way to reuse that gold, without losing its meaning. In my studio, I like to turn it into something new: a piece of jewelry that fits who you are now, while the memory remains.
Gold that remains useful forever
Gold does not lose its value. Even if a piece of jewelry is worn out or no longer suits you, the metal itself remains excellent to use. I can remelt your old gold and repurpose it as the basis for a new design.
Whether you want to keep a detail or structure or give the material a totally new shape depends entirely on what you want to have made and what the gold technically allows. That way it will remain your gold, but in a new piece of jewelry that fits right now.
Methodology
There are two ways to work together:
- You can visit my studio in Eindhoven
- Or you can send the gold insured and registered mail
Both ways work equally well. I guide you step by step.
We discuss what you would like to have made (in the studio or by mail). Then I look at the gold – in person, or as soon as it comes in – and create a design that matches the material and the style you’re looking for.
Then I get to work: I melt down the gold and quietly work on the new piece of jewelry. Everything is made by hand, with attention to detail and wearing comfort.
When it is ready, you can pick up the jewelry or I will send it to you safely and registered.
