14K gold ring with spinel – One of a Kind

A 14K gold ring with a burgundy spinel. The warm color of the stone contrasts nicely with the gold, while the subtle ball detail around the setting gives the design that extra character. A ring that stands out through color and detail without being emphatic.

This ring was handmade in my studio and is part of my one-of-a-kind collection. Thus, there is only one copy of it. The spinel was carefully chosen for its deep color and beautiful appearance, combined with a design that is comfortable to wear every day.

About spinel

Spinel is a gemstone you don’t come across as often, but it is special for that very reason. With a hardness of 8 on the Mohs scale, spinel is great for everyday wear. The stone is strong, stable and retains its clarity well with regular use.

I like working with spinel because of that combination of durability and radiance. Depending on color and cut, spinel can look both bright and subdued. In this gray-blue variety, on the other hand, there is a quiet depth that does not easily bore and moves nicely with the light.
